Tool Collection

9.30 - 11.30 am Saturday 5th October, 2024
Middle Street Resource Centre

Please bring you unwanted (usable) tools, and we will pass them on to Tools With A Mission (TWAM), a charity which will use them to create new livelihoods and transform lives in the developing world.

What tools are needed?

Here is a list of tools that can - and can't - be used. The list of things that can't be used is fairly short, but please check - thank you!

If you can bring the tools you're donating to the Middle Street Resource Centre (by the tram stop on Middle Street) on Saturday 5th October, between 9.30 and 11.30am, that would be great. If you have tools to donate but can't bring them then, please contact us:-

What happens to the tools I donate?

TWAM currently sends containers of tools to six countries in Africa:- DR Congo, Malawi, Tanzania, Uganda, Ambia and Zimbabwe.
Tools are refurbished as needed, and sorted into kits for supporting specific livelihoods, such as carpentry, auto mechanics, building, sewing, knitting, plumbing, electrical work, etc.. The kits are shipped out in containers, to training organisations that provide courses to vulnerable people, teaching new skills and providing the means to start earning once they have finished their courses.
