| Description: |
Archbishop Bernard will be speaking about the mission of the Anglican Church in Burundi. to staff, students and visitors in St John's College Chapel. Archbishop Bernard Ntahoturi was born in 1948. He was ordained priest in 1973 and studied in many places including St Johns College in 1976. From 1979 to 1986, Dr. Ntahoturi served in the Burundian government, but in 1987 political opponents to a military coup d'etat, including him, were jailed. He was released from prison in 1991; and became the primate of the province in 2005. |
