Art Group
The Art Group meets on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday in the month, from 2pm to 4pm.
At present we have seven regular members in our friendly group which is run on an informal basis. Anyone, whether or not they attend the church, is very welcome to come along and to 'try their hand' at drawing or painting, whether they are absolute beginners or are more experienced artists.
We have a wide selection of art materials in various mediums such as charcoal, watercolour, acrylic and oil paints which are freely available for newcomers to try. There is no initial outlay, although we do expect regular members to provide their own materials after the first few 'taster' sessions. We have no formal tutor, but instead we try to help and encourage each other according to our ability and experience, which is very varied.
We share tea and biscuits mid-way through each session as we enjoy the companionship of drawing and painting together. New members can be sure of a very warm welcome.
