Fair Trade
We are a Fairtrade Church committed to:
- Using fairly traded tea and coffee and moving towards using other fairly traded products where they are available.

- Promoting Fairtrade during Fairtrade Fortnight - and through other activities whenever possible.
- A Fairtrade stall is available along with catalogues for browsing.
Fairtrade products may often cost more, but who pays the price if we don't? Being rich, in relative terms, we are reminded by Jesus that we have a responsibility: 'where someone has been given much, much will be expected of them' (Luke 12:48).
It is the poorest people in the world who are suffering most at the hands of unfair trade. Luke 4:18-19 talks about good news to the poor, liberation of captives, protecting the weak, and the coming of justice so that all can be included in God's Kingdom. Fairtrade has this aim at its heart - a just system which frees producers from exploitation, enabling them to lift themselves out of poverty.
